ErgoLean MC by Ergopharm 90 Capsules Description:
Ergolean MC is a thermogenic diet formula that works with your body’s own metabolic control processes to speed the burning of fat.  The formula of Ergolean MC was carefully designed to optimize thyroid hormone function in the body, thereby establishing an ideal physiological state for the burning of calories and the consumption of excess adipose tissue.

The two main ingredients in ErgoLean MC are 99% pure Z and E guggulsterones.  These isomeric compounds are found in the Indian shrub Commiphora Mukul, and have been extensively studied for their ability to increase thyroid hormone output and metabolic rate in animals and humans.  Guggulsterones also have recently been shown to reduce cholesterol levels by blocking a receptor in the liver called Farnesoid X, thus allowing more cholesterol to be excreted from the body in the form of bile salts.  The guggulsterones are very potent compounds and they form the centerpiece around which ErgoLean MC was developed.  Consequently, ErgoPharm made sure not to skimp on guggulsterone potency.  ErgoLean MC contains 50mg of Guggulsterones per capsule – over twice as much as competitive brands!!

The second ingredient in ErgoLean MC is selenomethionine.  Selenomethionine is a highly bioavailable form of the mineral selenium.  The iodothyronine deiodinase enzyme catalyzes the transformation of the inactive thyroid hormone T4 to the active T3, and its activity is essential for the biological activity of thyroid hormones in peripheral tissues.  It has recently been discovered that this enzyme is a selenoenzyme, and consequently will not function properly without proper dietary intake of selenium.

Olive leaf extract is the next component of ErgoLean MC.  Olive Leaf Extract (OLE) has been shown to exert a dose dependent increase on thyroid hormone output.  This effect is direct and not mediated by pituitary thyrotropin (thyroid stimulating hormone).  It is thought that OLE may work by stimulating the iodothyronine deiodinase enzyme.  Furthermore, the active constituent in OLE – oleuropein – has been shown to increase the activity of nitric oxide synthase (NOS).  NOS catalyzes the production of nitric oxide from arginine in the body.  Nitric oxide influences many valuable physiological functions in the body that affect such things as blood pressure control, erectile ability, and possibly even the muscular hypertrophy response.

Caffeine is well established as a lipolytic agent and acts through several mechanisms, including phosphodiesterase inhibition.  Its presence in the formula helps to ensure that the negative energy balance induced by the thyroid stimulating ingredients is compensated for by stored fat and not by body protein stores (such as muscle tissue).
